VeriSign, Inc. (registry for .COM and .NET domain names) announced that as of Jan. 15, 2012, the registry fee for .com domain names will be increased by $0.51 per .COM domain year and $0.46 per .NET domain year. The price increase will go in effect starting January 15, 2012.

If you are planning to renew/register domain(s), we’d recommend doing it before the price increase kicks in to save some money.
